How long will the people of Mount Vernon allow themselves to be manipulated by the Democratic Party, developers, Kenny Plummer, and their PAC pretending to be community uplift — Rise Up Mount Vernon?
Let’s call it what it is: a hold-up.
While they preach empowerment, they’re emptying our pockets and robbing this city blind.
We usually stick to the facts — but every so often, a rumor hits close enough to the truth to deserve attention.
According to reliable sources, Ken Jenkins has his fingerprints on the mess strangling this city.
Insiders say Councilman Jaevon Boxhill tried to distance himself from the Patterson-Howard Administration — and was threatened not once, but twice.
- First threat: When Boxhill expressed interest in running for Comptroller, Jenkins allegedly sneered, “You like your job… don’t you?”
- Second threat: Later, Boxhill was warned again, this time through his wife, a rookie cop in the MVPD — “I hope she passes probation.”
So ask yourself: At what point is enough enough?
How long will we sit by while intimidation, corruption, and incompetence choke the life out of this city?
Let’s talk about what’s really happening:
- Taxes: How high do they need to go before people wake up? The police budget has been blown, and the only “solution” this administration knows is raising taxes.
- Unhoused Crisis: The number of unhoused people keeps growing — and so does crime. Cars are being broken into in public garages, while officials tell us to “be patient.”
- Supermarket Closures: How many more stores need to shut down before seniors have to travel miles to buy food?
- Safety: Our elders live in fear while police response times lag and leadership offers excuses.
And let’s preach for a minute.
- Stop letting ministers who live in Scarsdale, drive Rolls Royces, and don’t even pay their taxes, tell you that the only path to heaven is sacrificing the needs of your own family.
- That’s not faith — that’s control.
- They’ve turned the pulpit into a political stage, trading salvation for votes.
- It’s time to wake up, Mount Vernon.
- Stop confusing spiritual obedience with political submission.
- You owe these people nothing.
You Have a Choice.- You can stay home.
- You can protest by skipping Row A.
- You can write in anyone — even Mickey Mouse.
Because this isn’t about party loyalty anymore — it’s about drawing a line in the sand.- Let these people win with the smallest showing ever — so small they can’t pretend it’s a mandate.
We are tired of the threats, tired of the cover-ups, and tired of the fraud that poisons our elections.- Mount Vernon deserves better — and the people deserve to lower their hands only when this city is free from political theft.
